WORLD FIRST CSIRO FOOD INNOVATION TO BE USED IN AUSSIE BREAKFAST CEREAL FOR THE FIRST TIME

The world's highest fibre super-grain, which was developed naturally by the CSIRO, has been used in a food product for the first time in the newly launched ‘Goodness' range of breakfast cereals.

The grain called ‘BARLEY-max' features in two initial products - Digestive 1st and Protein 1st, both breakfast cereals will benefit from the super-wholegrain's double fibre content and superior levels of resistance starch, which allow for optimum bowel and digestive health.

"We are delighted the CSIRO has chosen Goodness to be the first to utilise this innovative super-wholegrain. It is very important for people to know BARLEY-max is in not genetically modified, it is 100 per cent naturally produced and contains advanced benefits that will help fight the onset of diseases like bowel cancer and type 2 diabetes. " says Arnold May, CEO of Popina Food Services, the company that makes Goodness breakfast cereals.
